A New Chapter for RIDE’s Study Abroad
RIDE’s belief in the transformative power of study abroad experiences has been our driving motivator since we began changing lives in 2020. These programs not only broaden academic horizons and inspire creativity, but they also deepen cultural understanding and foster personal growth. We are excited to announce the launch of two new study abroad programs in Kenya! Each program will be two weeks long; the first program will run from November 30th, 2025, to December 12th, 2025. Our second program will run from January 4th to January 16th of 2026. These programs are open to all currently enrolled students at any university, aiming to create opportunities for as many individuals as possible to experience the magic of East Africa!
We believe every student should have the opportunity to engage with and learn from the world beyond the classroom. With these two new group treks, we aim to reach beyond the traditional student demographic. These programs are designed to welcome anyone interested in exploring the rich cultures, landscapes, and communities of East Africa. By opening our doors wider, we hope to build a diverse cohort of participants eager to learn and contribute to local development initiatives. Reflecting on our journey, RIDE International has come a long way since our inception in 2020. Our relationships with the local communities that we serve are built on mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration. We have seen firsthand the impact that engaged, motivated individuals can have when they work alongside local partners to address pressing issues. Now, we want to amplify this impact by inviting more students into our fold, allowing them to contribute to and learn from our ongoing projects.
Aligned with our core values of local empowerment, environmental sustainability, and innovation, our study abroad programs offer participants immersive experiences that go beyond academics. Students will work directly on community-driven projects tackling critical challenges such as climate change, women's empowerment, and education.
While specific details regarding credit or educational opportunities related to travel are still being finalized, we are dedicated to providing experiences that enhance students' academic journeys. Our programs are designed to equip participants with valuable skills and insights that will serve them well in their future careers.
