As a volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our community development efforts while staying at the Kasigau Nature Centre, nestled in the heart of the stunning Kasigau region.
Our Volunteer Program is designed to be an enriching and transformative experience. During your stay, you will actively participate in various community-led projects, including promoting sunflower agriculture, supporting women seaweed farmers, and engaging in cultural revival initiatives. From working hand-in-hand with local farmers in sustainable farming practices to engaging in educational programs that empower the Watha community, your contributions will create a lasting positive impact.

Where you will stay
At the Kasigau Nature Centre, you will enjoy comfortable accommodation and facilities amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Kasigau. Our friendly staff and fellow volunteers will ensure you feel welcomed and supported throughout your journey. At the Centre, you will have your own ensuite accommodation that includes full board, pickup/drop-off at Voi train station, laundry, wifi, and stunning views of Mt Kasigau.
Fees to support our work
At RIDE, we believe in maximizing the impact of our volunteers while minimizing costs to ensure a meaningful experience. Our volunteer program offers an incredible opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in our community initiatives. For just $35 per day, volunteers receive private accommodation at the Kasigau Nature Centre, complete with full board, Wi-Fi, and laundry services. This affordable fee not only covers your stay but also guarantees an experience that will last a lifetime, as you contribute to our mission and create lasting memories.
